Lifeless trees & winter breeze

Many may complain about winter, but I see beauty in it because of the lifeless trees, frozen puddles, winter breeze, small birds and clouded night sky.The winter wind is howling through the naked trees, small birds are flying around trying to find something to eat, the branches hang low with the weight of the snow and frozen puddles are breaking under my boots. I don’t know for others, but for me it’s all about the weather and how it makes me feel. Whilst for others it’s depressing and maybe uncomfortable, I feel like I can breath better, like for once things are okay; I think that’s because nature is so peaceful and calm, even the coldness upon my skin is refreshing. For once it seems that everything finally begins to fall into place.

Winter also means warmth and getting cozy. It’s all about those few minutes spent next to the fireplace warming up after a long walk, about that cup of coffee/tea/mulled wine that warms up your body and makes you feel happier. Let’s not forget about hugs. Imagine yourself waiting for a loved one out in the cold, and once you two meet they wrap you up in a tight and warm hug. Isn’t that heart warming?

I love winter and once it’s gone I can’t wait for it to come back. Isn’t it weird? All our lives we’re waiting: waiting for Fridays, our favorite season, a birthday or a holiday, a friend or a lover… or just something to happen, something to change2017-01-07-04_fotor2016-12-29-04_fotor-2
