Sights and Sounds of the Sea

Hello.

It’s been almost a year since I wrote my last blog post and I apologize for that. I didn’t expect to be away for so long. After spiraling down into a pit of negativity and getting up on my feet I decided to blog again, not only because blogging incorporates two of my favorite things: writing and photography, but because I want to bring something beautiful to this world, which leads me to the topic of this post: the sea.

I finished my second year of university and although it was a fruitful year I found myself embedded in a stress cocoon that I needed to escape as soon as possible. I needed (and still do) some time to relax and just breathe. Thus, I decided to spend a few days at the beach. In Romania students benefit from free train rides so I went by train, which was a bad choice: I was stuck in the train for 16 hours because of a 3 hours delay. After what seemed to be an eternity I finally arrived in Vama Veche.

As the weather was hot, it was a real pleasure to take a refreshing bath in the sea.  In these few days I spent some quality time by the beach reading, taking long walks and gazing at the horizon while contemplating my existence (and not only). Despite some nerve-racking situations that aren’t worthy to be mentioned, it was a refreshing holiday that I tried to immortalize through photography.
